Liberation of the Heart – Rise Up
There is a rising we can experience in our lives that is about a transformation within – it is not forced by the will. This rising is not about pushing, or claiming, or grasping, or pushing. This rising is not in competition with another.This rising holds paradox. For the way up begins with the way down, down to the beauty of the soul.
This rising is a response to listening to something deep within that says, “Live!”. This response is like a blade of grass emerging from the depths of the dark ground up through concrete – tender and yet so incredibly strong and full of life. There is something in this blade of grass that says, “YES! I will live! Even in circumstances which are difficult. Even when others say I can’t. Even when there is challenge.”
This rising comes from an inner journey of the soul. This soul rising holds dignity, grace, and a quiet fierceness. This rising is radiant and is full of joy. This rising holds a purity of beauty and grace. I believe this kind of inner rising is the rising we need for this time – it is the rising of a soul – A soul knowing its truth, and this truth carries the torch of liberation.
This rising comes from an inner path of surrendering in and down into darkness, not-knowing, yielding, and trusting something very deep within. This rising comes out of waiting, of listening, of a profound trust in something good that is at the core of your being. This rising is rooted in the Love from which we came, and this Love carries the wisdom we need for the days we are in.
There is an ancient saying rooted in the wisdom of the Dessert Abbas and Ammas – Stand in one place, stand where your heart is rooted in Love, and Love will live the action. Discovering your roots in the dark will open you to an inner landscape where you can draw from the Well of Life. There is living water here.
If we pause, root ourselves, and drink deeply from the Living Water within, we will discover a source that will fill us, and cause us to rise like a blade of grass, rising in the most challenging of circumstances, shining with light, joy, and love.
LIBERATION
When you know that you don’t know.
When you recognize that you cannot see.
When you feel that you cannot no longer touch what is familiar.
When obscurity wraps you in its blanket of mysterious cloud form,
take heart.
This is the place of nobility, a place within yourself of silent surrender to that which is beyond your being, and yet also imprinted in your cellular nature. It is the place of discovery.
PAUSE. BREATHE. LISTEN.
The echo of your soul’s knowing will return to you.
The light of dawn will return your sight.
Your hands will lose their numbness as you touch the precious soil of your soul.
As you open your heart to listen, you will discover a truth of your soul in the midst of not-knowing. This truth is meant to be found in the quiet darkness of listening and then carried into the light of day.
Carry the torch of this knowing, this seeing, this truth. For it is the message of your soul and your path of liberation.
Carry the torch of this radiant love and shine.
Rise Up.
