This “Hope and Imagine” retreat will the first in a series of day retreats bringing refreshment to people involved in spiritual care and pastoral ministry. We cannot draw from empty wells; come all who are thirsty! Come and experience how shared song, contemplation in prayer and the quiet accompaniment of others on the journey brings renewal to our beings and fills us again with Living Waters. Set on the mountain top at Westminster Abbey, in Mission BC, among the trees and a view of the Fraser River Valley, this day retreat promises to be a point of reconnection and revitalization.
This retreat will be co-facilitated by Rev. Rebecca Simpson and Cathy AJ Hardy.
Bios:
Rebecca Simpson is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in Canada and the Director for Presbyterian Formation at St. Andrew’s Hall / Vancouver School of Theology on the UBC campus. Rebecca has experience as a pastor for a small congregation, a summer camp director and a high school teacher. She has benefited from three years of Soul Care participation through Anam Cara, Cloister and Red Cedar with Cathy as leader. Her desire is to see spiritual caregivers and leaders in renewed and flourishing in body, mind and soul.
Cathy AJ Hardy is a spiritual director, retreat facilitator, and founder of Soul Care ®, offering courses in spiritual formation and direction. A facilitator of soul work for the past two decades, Cathy is also the author of four books: Love Breathes With Me (2018), Walk With Me (2020), and Love Breathes With Me II (2022), and Pause; A Year of Soulful Meditation (2023). In addition to her passion for guiding others in their spiritual growth, Cathy is also a poet and award-winning singer-songwriter. She lives in Mission, B.C. among the mountains, rivers, and forests.
