Contemplative Soul Care Retreat
Enter a 5 Day experience of Contemplative practices, Soul Care Music, stillness, labyrinth walks, forest paths, time for personal reflection, journaling and opportunities for receiving Spiritual Direction.
Facilitated by Cathy AJ Hardy, this retreat will offer group times of meditation, song and spiritual practices as well as personal time for rest and rejuvenation.
Rivendell Retreat Centre offers a unique location on Bowen Island, a place of peace and quiet away from the noise, distractions and pressures of the city, with magnificent views of mountains, forests and seas… a sanctuary with a network of trails that offer the opportunity for discovering new intimacy with God while exploring forest paths and the wonders of creation. Located on 6 1/2 acres atop Cates Hill on Bowen Island; a short ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay and West Vancouver.
The retreat will include meditations rooted in the Christian mystical tradition such as lectio and centering prayer. We will also engage in creative tasks such as mandela drawings, collage, dream-work, etc. Cathy will offer music and poetry during many of the group times together.
Cost and Registration details to follow.
“Cathy A.J. Hardy led everyone on the retreat in a very gentle, respectful, loving way. While Cathy’s personality came through in the expressive way she worshiped and brought her own style to her music, much of it original, she allowed us to be who we were, always inviting us to enter in, but allowing each individual to partake in a way that was comfortable and meaningful for them. I was very impressed on the final sharing day as everyone shared deeply and reflected a wide variety of experiences. If anyone has even the slightest inkling that they would like to try a Contemplative Soul Care Retreat with Cathy A. J. Hardy, I would recommend you attend one. You will experience a new depth of God’s love. You will find many new ways to relate to God in your own soul, in nature, and in your imagination.” Diane, 2018 Participant
“Prepare to meet God in surprising ways…. I was way (way) outside of my comfort zone…some of the experience was unfamiliar and somewhat uncomfortable and yet it resonated deep within me. I especially encourage other men to consider a soul care retreat. I am convinced that it will be a transformative experience.” Keith, 2018 Participant
