World Music School Performance
Together Boris & Cathy create a very exciting world music performance that is interactive, educational and entertaining. Showcasing their talent for performing many world folk- songs, Cathy and Boris also seek to get children and school staff involved in the music by singing along and by learning body rhythms. Boris’s amazing collection of world instruments brings an exotic and exciting visual and aural display.
World Music Workshops/Artist in Residence
Boris and Cathy have experience teaching folk music to students of all ages and also leading drum circles. Boris and Cathy are available to schools all over the Fraser Valley for in-artist residence programs based on the need of the school.
Comments about Boris & Cathy’s music
I had great feedback from parents and teachers about the performance! Thank you!
- Principal Cameron Friesen, December 2011
I loved having you and Boris at our school. I have heard a LOT of great feedback! Lots of us really liked the energy that you had with the kids and it was blended so effectively with age-appropriate management. And I REALLY loved the exposure that all of the parents and students had to your and Boris’s performance and instruments from around the world! I think we were so fortunate to have you and Boris at South Poplar! I would encourage any future budget to include musical expertise and your invaluable experience.
- Teacher Shay Iversen, December 2011
This was the best and most exciting assembly I’ve ever experienced at this school in 6 years!
